My journey

Hi Habibi, I'm Myriam Achour Soumati, a French-Algerian painting artist and freelance illustrator.

I’ve always been a dreamer. Growing up in Paris I spent my summers in the beautiful countryside of Charentes drawing, painting and absorbing the work of masters Van Gogh, Matisse and Cezanne. Decades spent imagining life creating art, art creating life.  

After building a successful career in marketing, I realised the great power of a dream and the importance of making it come true. So, four years ago I jumped off the 9-5 corporate career track to ride my own childhood dream: making a living and a life from my art. 

And here it is, habibi, along with an invitation for YOU. Let me take you on this journey of inspiration, beauty and meaningfulness to connect to your heart and feel empowered, present and free.

Inspiration, everywhere

My art captures moments of everyday life—both the mundane and the profound—drawing inspiration from women, nature, emotion, and the world around me. It also serves as a platform to speak out on issues I deeply care about, such as racism, feminism, individual and collective empowerment. Through my work, I advocate for freedom, self-expression, and meaningful connection.
